About Hong Jian Zhao

Hong Jian Zhao received his PhD (@Materials Science) from Zhejiang University (China); then, he entered the Materials Research and Technology department of Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (Luxembourg), as a junior Research&Technology associate; currently, he is a postdoc researcher University of Arkansas. He uses various theoretical/computational techniques (first-principles simulations, group-representation-theory based symmetry analysis) to understand the physical phenomena (e.g., magnetically driven multiferroics, spin-orbital physics) in complex compounds.

Research interests (Focusing on ferroic materials)

*We also provide theoretical insights to experimental findings (see Sci. Rep.7, 46498 (04/2017), Sci. Rep. 6, 37529 (11/2016), Phys. Rev. B 94 (21), 214103 (12/2016), Appl. Phys.
